CASE STUDY

Ambit Moat – Voysey House

Ambit Moat

PROJECT DETAILS

Ambit Moat Voysey House Project is a Grade 2 listed building located in Chiswick, Hounslow. Constructed in 1902 the building comprises of approximately 200,00 Sq ft. Ambit Moats works include a full strip out of the ground to fourth floor with new structural openings, a new roof and plant change followed by a CAT A fit out on each of the floors.

The works on site commenced in 2022 and will run throughout 2023.

THE SOLUTION

Powertrack have now worked with Ambit Moat on several projects including Building 12 Chiswick Park and 25 North Colonnade in Canary Wharf. By using the Powertrack Reuse service we where able to supply 98% of the Powertrack modules for Voysey House from the existing Ambit Moat Powertrack stock.

During the tender stage of Voysey House we were able to put together two proposals, one of all new modules and another that would be supplied from the existing Ambit Powertrack stock and that would undergo the Powertrack Reuse service. On Ambit securing Voysey House we were able to confirm that 98% of the required modules could come from the existing Ambit stock with only a dozen new modules required to complete the system. Following our confirmation to proceed, we delivered the Powertrack system to Voysey House within 3 days and attended site to carry out Powertrack training with the Project logistics team.

We where also able to supply an updated stock log to Ambit to include the number of Powertrack modules still available to them that could be supplied for another project.

Along with the commercial savings that Powertrack was able to provide, our reuse service ensured that almost all modules have now been on at least two Ambit Moat Projects lowering the C02 footprint of the project and providing a reusable and sustainable site temporary lighting and power system that can be reused on several future projects.

ENDORSEMENTS

This is the second project in which I’ve used Powertrack and once again I’m very impressed with the system and the service that the Powertrack team have provided me.

Following our appointment of the Voysey House project, I sent the Powertrack team a set of GA’s and within no time at all I had my full design and module break down. 95% of the modules supplied at Voysey House came from the Ambit Moat stock which had undergone the Powertrack Re-use Service. This cost the project just over £5.00 per module, offering us excellent value for money. With my Logistics team having already used and installed Powertrack on our last project at Chiswick Park we had our modules on site and installed within a couple of days, ready for our construction works to commence.

We have some very hard-hitting demolition works taking place at Voysey House and Powertrack coped brilliantly in this harsh environment where a conventional system just wouldn’t have worked. The lighting output of the globes is great and a brilliant addition to the Powertrack product range. We take comfort in knowing that at the end of the project, the Powertrack team will collect the modules from site and get the necessary modules ready our next project.
We’ve also received positive feedback regarding Powertrack’s products and services from our clients on both the Chiswick Park and Voysey House Projects.
